Special Education Survey:

Our district has been selected to participate in a statewide survey being conducted by the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.  The survey is being sent to you as part of a statewide effort to collect information that will allow the New Jersey Department of Education to enhance special education programs, services and supports and to improve results for children and families. During May of this year, you will be receiving a survey in the mail from the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.  When you receive the survey, we strongly encourage you to complete and return it as soon as possible in the pre-paid self-addressed envelope.  The return envelope is addressed to a private agency that will scan and summarize the information on each survey.  Your survey responses will remain confidential; you do not need to put your name or the name of your child on the survey. This survey will provide important information to further efforts on behalf of families and students with disabilities.  We thank you in advance for your support.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The final administration of the PARCC tests will be April 27 – May 6.  A percentage of parents decided to not have their children participate in the March administration.  Should you decide to have your child “opt-out” or not take the final administration of the test, you will need to send a new letter to the Principal of your school.  Please send a letter that includes your name, your child’s name, school and grade, and your email address and telephone number in case verification is needed.  Please send this signed letter before April 27.  Please do not send an email.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
